I am interested in the environment and doing all we can to save it.  So much is happening all over the world, but even the small things we can do here on our beautiful island, could make a huge difference.

I believe that having a say in Jersey is important, especially for young people around my age.  I am honoured to be part of Jersey Youth Parliament and I hope to make a difference in our community.

My name is Ella, I go to JCG and I am 12 years old.  I have decided to join Jersey Youth parliament as I love to help people and am excited to make a difference.

Hi, I’m Emily.  I love dancing, reading, baking and doing art.  I am so excited to be part of the Jersey Youth parliament, especially to meet new people and being able to share my opinions.

My name is Kate and I enjoy Art, English and Chemistry.  I joined the JYP because I am interested in helping improve education by including more information about preventing homophobia and racism, and I hope to raise awareness amongst my peers about the issues in society today.  I want to learn new things about parliament and get involved in making a difference.

I am pleased to be a part of Jersey Youth Parliament as I would like to make my voice heard.  I would also love to use this as an opportunity to build my social and communication skills.  I am especially looking forward to hopefully making a difference on our island.

Hello, my name is Lottie and I am very excited to be chosen for the JYP.  I like to watch anime and I play the violin and ukulele.  I am interested in engineering and hope to make a career our of it.  If I have the opportunity to make a change I want to take it.

I’m Maria, I joined the Jersey Youth Parliament to gain more confidence in myself.  I am Portuguese but was born in Jersey.  I enjoy doing art.

I was glad to be nominated for the JYP because I am passionate about issues affecting young people and I want to be part of making solutions.  Things like mental health are important to me as everybody might need support at some point in their life.

Hello! I am Shaurya and I am currently in year 8.  Me and my family are from India and have migrated to Jersey.  My hobbies are to swim, play table tennis, cook and play the piano and flute.  I enjoy subjects such as maths, art, English and biology.  I am kind, loyal, friendly and intelligent.  I decided to join JYP as I would like to contribute in making the world a better place and make it beautiful.  During the timespan of 18 months, I aspire to put smiles on the faces of young children and contribute to the society.

My name is Yasmin and I particularly enjoy reading, mathematics, animals, and of course politics.  Politics has always fascinated me, however, I have often felt that young people don’t have enough involvement or contribution regarding our island’s important decisions.  I feel most strongly about Jersey’s environmental issues, sexism, homophobia and racism existing in our community.  The future depends on what you do today.
